Remove old chain:

Install new chain:

Install the tensioner end first, then tighten the chain correctly along the camshaft gear and crankshaft gear.

Make sure all pistons are at top dead center. Guide the new timing chain slowly along the gear groove on the engine. First install the chain on the crankshaft gear and then straighten it in the direction of the camshaft gear. Use a timing chain tensioner to adjust chain tension. Typically, the tensioner will have a tensioning screw or tensioning device that is adjusted to maintain the proper tension on the chain. The specific adjustment method can be determined according to the vehicle model and engine design. Using an appropriate tool, such as a wrench, gradually tighten the chain. When tensioning the chain, be sure to follow the vehicle manufacturer's recommendations and make sure the chain tension is within the normal range. A chain that is too tight can increase engine load and wear, while a chain that is too loose may cause chain bounce or noise. Most tensioners are equipped with an indicator to show the chain tension. After tensioning the chain, always check the tensioner indicator and make sure it is within normal range.
